Export Trade license in Ethiopia

Anyone who want to export goods from Ethiopia to abroad, should need business license in the first place.

Currently, it is possible to apply for export business license online via the https://etrade.gov.et; an official online Business license portal of Ethiopian Government.

The main prerequisite to obtain export business license are the following.

• A Tax Identification Number (TIN) copy;
• A business registration certificate copy;
• Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association for private limited and share companies;
• A document evidencing the capital allocated for the commercial activity;
• one passport size photographs taken within the last six months;
• If the applicant is a foreign investor, the investment and residence permit;
• Bank permits.
